Tails and Trails Dog Park

If you are visiting the area with your four legged friend, I highly recommend a visit to the dog park.  It has a fenced area for larger dogs and a smaller fenced area for the more petite dog.  There is also a separate area that is fenced with trails through the woods.  I've met some wonderful people and their dogs from all over the world here.  It is located just east of the expressway (6359 - 134th Ave, Saugatuck, Michigan 49453)

December in Michigan???

It's hard to believe I have roses still blooming in December in Michigan. The weather guessers are saying snow next week --- I'll let you know how that works out.

Workout time

This is the east side of Mt. Baldy - as you can see it is a workout to get to the top. Once there, you can take a trail back down or take the stairs. The view from the top makes the climb worth it.

Last wildflowers of the season

SIGH. . . . it's the end of the flowers, swimming, tourists, eating outside . . . . and the beginning of frost, wind, snow, shoveling, freezing rain, trying to stay out of the ditch . . . . and hot chocolate, crackling fires, cross country skiing, snow days, ice skating, baking bread, making bucket loads of soup & chili . . . OK it's not so bad:)
